What a Year!
It's hard to believe it's already December. 2018 has been an incredible year for Make It RC. From being featured on the YouTube trending page to creating this store, as well as the release of of some cool new products such as the FFR SC1 chassis and MA10 axle assemblies. On top of all this the support from the community has been amazing and of course is what enables us to grow and create more content and products. Although the rapid growth and recent influxes of orders can be a bit overwhelming at times as well as present some new challenges, I'm really looking forward to whats to come in 2019. In less than one year, what started as a simple hobby for me has quickly turned into a growing business all thanks to the support of all of you.
Here's a quick look at some recent updates and releases as well as what's coming soon.
New FFR SC1 Kits Now Available
If you will be printing your own FFR SC1 chassis pieces and you are looking for a FFR SC1 chassis kit that does not include these parts, the kit you are looking for is now available. Those who want to 3D print their own chassis pieces no longer need to order all the non-printable items such as hardware and suspension links separately.
Star 50 Wheels Now Available
As talked about in the previous blog post, we are working towards adding more wheels and tiers to the store. After sorting out some production issues the Star 50 1/24-1/25 scale wheels are now available. More designs are in the works so be sure to follow us for updates.
Increasing Production and Preparing for Higher Volumes of Sales
As has been discussed previously keeping up with orders and keeping certain items in stock has a been a challenge these past few months. Fortunately a combination of increasing production as well as better inventorying and fulfillment processes has helped greatly to keep things in stock. This is an area that we will continue to be making improvements.
Individual Replacement Parts are Now Listed for MS01 and MC01 Assemblies
If you are looking for individual replacement parts for your MS01 or MC01 front suspension and steering assembly, you can now find these parts here.
New Files Available on Patreon, More on the Way
As was mentioned in the previous blog post, STL files for the 1/10 scale 3D printable crawler chassis as well as the new FP UC1 chassis are available to Maker Tire Patrons. More print files are on the way. Both these chassis' are still works in progress but more information as well as public releases will be available in the coming months. For now consider becoming a Patron for early and exclusive access to files such as those. The support is greatly appreciated.
More Sizes and Variations of FFR SC1 Chassis Coming Soon
We are working to increase the variety of different FFR SC1 Chassis sizes and variations enabling them to fit even more bodies as well as give builders even more options. Details about newly added parts will be listed when these new chassis parts are released. These new variations and sizes will be available for purchase from our store or for you to download the STL files at no cost.
Parts for Monogram 1992 Pontiac Firebird are coming!
The numerous custom 3D printed parts I designed for the 1/24 scale Firebird build will be making their way onto the store and onto Patreon for members there to print. These are obviously not very universal parts as they where designed for this specific model kit, however a lot of people have been requesting them so I hope everyone enjoys. More details to come.
