FFR SC1 Builders Series Kit for AMT 3rd Gen Camaro and Firebird Models

Ready to make your model move? The FFR SC1 Builders Series Chassis Kit is a great platform for many RC model car projects. With a front motor and live axle rear wheel drive layout, this chassis will look at home under your Camaro or Firebird body. Striking a nice balance of realism, value, and relative ease of assembly, this kit is ready for your next project!

Brass axle gears now available! An all metal gear drivetrain is optional when you choose to include brass gears from the selection above. Brass gears provide a highly durable drivetrain that will withstand far more abuse than the standard resin gears. Best suited for more performance oriented buyers, or beginners as brass gears are easier to install, and will not break or wear quickly due to poor alignment.

Please note this chassis is intended for experienced adult hobbyists only! Kit contains many small parts and requires a variety of tools to assemble. These may include but are not limited to; soldering iron, rotary tool, hobby knife, various drivers, pin vise hand drill, and side cutters. Please refer to the video above or contact us with questions. Chassis is designed to travel only at "scale speeds" and is not designed for jumping, bashing, crashing, drifting, outdoor use, or off-road use of any kind. Do not expose chassis to water, direct sunlight, or high temperatures. Keep chassis away from young children. Never store chassis with battery installed. Do not use chassis with metal bodies. Refer to our list of compatible models kits when choosing a body. We do not guarantee correct fit for any model kits not specifically listed. If you have questions, please contact us.     

Metal hop-up parts are available on Shapeways. Stronger chassis and drivetrain components may be necessary for certain builds. These parts are not manufactured by Make It RC, however can be ordered from our Shapeways store. Shimming the brass pinion gear may be necessary to align properly with the ring gear. M2 washers with a greater than 2mm inner diameter can be used. Contact us if you would like more information.

Other similar 1/25 scale 1982-1992 AMT and MPC Camaro and Firebird model kits and dealer promo cars may fit, however we can't confirm this. This chassis will not fit larger 1/24 scale Camaro and Firebird kits from Revell/Monogram. When in doubt measure the wheelbase and width of your body and compare to the measurements listed above.
